Apple Is The First Company Worth $ 1 Trillion

Apple yesterday recorded history as the first company worth $ 1 trillion (~ RM 4.07 trillion). The share price of Apple shares is now at $ 207.39 after the market closed and qualifies as the first company to have this very high value.

The company closest to Apple is now Amazon with a value of only $ 873.52 billion.

Appleā€™s rise in value takes place after a company founded by Steve Jobs is announcing high profits in the second quarter of 2018. More than 41 million iPhones, 11 million iPads and 3 million Macs are reported to have been sold. The first Apple shares were offered on December 12, 1980 at $ 22 per unit.

If you invest $ 1012 on Apple thirty-eight years ago, your share unit is now worth $ 534,236 after taking into account stock split. This is equivalent to a return of 527 times. If you have access to a time machine, this is probably the investment you can do.
